Our Destination Wedding In Nosara, Costa Rica

We’re so excited to share our wedding from July 2019! Shortly after Scott and I got engaged in France, we decided to host our wedding Nosara, Costa Rica as it’s a place Scott and I had traveled to previously and felt it embodied the two of us and the experience we wanted to provide our guests. Nosara is a magical place that houses not only a beautiful natural environment from the jungle to the beaches and the wildlife in between, but it’s also home to good waves, good food, and friendly locals. It isn’t the easiest place in the world to get to (it requires 2+ flights and about a long, bumpy drive on an unpaved road), but we determined it was worth it for the unique experience. Something about it just felt *right* to us. Once we decided on a location and a date (we aimed for a break in the rainy season and lucked out!), we started moving forward with booking our festivities for the week.

Our wedding week consisted of fishing, horseback riding, ziplining through the jungle, surfing, pool parties, acai bowls, and one unexpected thunderstorm during our rehearsal dinner. We hosted a welcome party at Guilded Iguana with live music by Palo Santo (the band) – a new-age electronic fusion. Our rehearsal dinner was at Beach Dog Cafe and we had our wedding at La Luna, a beautiful restaurant nestled into the cliffs on the beach and tucked perfectly into the jungle. My favorite part about our wedding was spending such intentional time with our family and friends. The only thing I wish I could do looking back is go back and do it again!
