Clover Event Co. & Magdalena Photography partnered together to design this wedding at the Fairmount Park Horticulture Center in Philadelphia. Drawing from the natural elements of the greenhouse, they designed the shoot around a palette of natural tans that were brought in through rattan elements, and accented it with deep teal, soft pinks and fresh citrus tones.
For the invitation suite, Barely Blush Ink used a monochromatic design with teal paper and a slightly deeper blue printing giving the suite a fun yet sophisticated feel. A tan envelope and soft white calligraphy added a neutral and romantic element to the suite and we styled it with bright citrus for a pop of color.
We sourced this bohemian inspired two piece gown from BHLDN for our model Kassi to wear and paired it with turquoise and brass earrings with a diamond ring and turquoise accent ring from L. Priori Jewelry. Her shoes were tan suede platform sandals that would be perfect for a beach or outdoor wedding in the summer months. The Maverick Bride kept her hair loose and natural and gave her face a dewy makeup glow. For the groom Yosh, we choose a mustard tan tux from The Black Tux and paired it with a bright linen turquoise tie to give his look a fun and modern feel.
The highlight of our ceremony space was a hand cut paper backdrop by artist Karina Puente. Her design so perfectly paired with our bride’s gown and the tall hanging paper was made for the tall height of the greenhouse entrance at the Horticulture Center. Allium Floral kept the florals minimal for the ceremony as to not compete with the backdrop and focused her attention on the tablescape, which included pink vases and driftwood, filled with textured blooms and lots of dried elements. Her florals were set atop of natural wood Cassias Table and Elmwood Chairs from Party Rental Ltd. Their Sedona Wood Flatware and Teal Pandora Goblets were the perfect finishing touches to this tablescape.
The rest of the reception space featured a lounge from Maggpie Rentals, which was accented by textured pillows and bright candles. Trailer & Tap, a new Philly vendor who are providing draft beer and cocktail services for weddings, were also featured in the shoot. Their trailer was the perfect fit for the vibe of our shoot and would make for such a unique activation site for any wedding.
For dessert, The Frosted Fox designed this aztec inspired cake and pulled inspiration from the bride’s dress and the cut paper ceremony backdrop. We loved the all white look with just a pop of the turquoise accent on the middle layer. The naturally growing cactus in the greenhouse space made for the perfect backdrop to style our cake display.
For this Fairmount Park Horticulture Center wedding, we hope to show how a modern wedding vibe and bright color palette, can still be designed in a sophisticated way, with attention to detail and neutral accents to ground the design and give it a more romantic feel.
