An Elegant, Black Tie Wedding At Ashford Estate

Ayla & Blake’s black-tie wedding at Ashford Estate was classic, elegant, and fun! The Ashford Estate grounds are classic and beautiful, making it a perfect black-tie venue. This allowed the couple to focus on flowers and decor to do the rest of the magic. A timeless palette of white florals with greenery from Twisted Willow Flowers was traditional and fit the elegant aesthetic. The wedding party consisted of a Best Man (Blake’s brother), and Maid of Honor (Ayla’s sister), who both wore black and white.

The wedding chapel at The Ashford Estate came to life with countless blooms and candles lining the aisle and overflowing from the fireplace. The space was oh so romantic for the “I do’s!” The tables in the reception room were adorned with the same timeless decor & florals. The tiered cake from The Bake Works was a work of art! Guests danced the night away before making their way to the library room for some table games provided by Philly Casino Parties. It was the perfect addition to the after-party!

“Our wedding was the first big event that many of our guests attended in a while due to the pandemic. We wanted to make sure the wedding felt classic, but also exciting. After spending a year and half in sweatpants, we knew we wanted our wedding to be a black-tie event – and we are so glad we did! Having a very small wedding party was one of our favorite decisions as it made the whole day feel more intimate. We included our three best friends as well by asking them to give readings during our ceremony.

Our number one tip is do a first look! We were able to enjoy at least half of our cocktail hour because we did a first look & family photos prior to the ceremony. We are so glad that we did!”
