What Is 1% for the Planet?
1% For The Planet is a global movement uniting thousands of businesses around a common goal: to make our world a better, healthier, more sustainable place for all humanity. We’re in good company, alongside other iconic, socially-minded enterprises like Patagonia, Boxed Water, Klean Kanteen, and more who’ve answered the call.
Why did we make this commitment?
As a pillar of our connected brands, our passion for a thriving, healthy future is what binds us together–and that starts with the environment. Whether we’re capturing elegant celebrations in the world’s most exclusive destinations, leading our boutique wedding photography studio, or supporting entrepreneurs with creative legal counsel, our sights are set on sustainability.
Across our connected brands, it’s a significant commitment, but one that we’re thrilled to take on. Our promise to give one percent is a pledge to the planet we love, and a responsibility we don’t take lightly. As a core component of our partnership, we’ve supplied our books and year-end tax reports to ensure transparency in giving our fair share to 1% For The Planet. And while our one percent may look different than yours, we can all do our part and give back to Mother Earth, locally and at scale. To date, we’ve donated thousands of dollars–and that’s some serious change (literally and metaphorically).
The decision to partner with 1% For The Planet was an easy one: By putting people, the planet, and protecting our environment over profit, we combat climate change in the most fundamental way we can–with time, money, and influence.
How do we honor our commitment?
Beyond our annual commitment to a 1% donation of our profits, we also seek to embody our commitment to sustainability every day within each of our connected brands. Through The Artists’ Lawyer, we serve soulful small businesses and fearless founders, empowering entrepreneurs to give back, believe in something, and build a brand that’s bigger than themselves.

Through our East Coast-based boutique photography studio, Magdalena Studios, we serve brides, families, and clients where we make an effort to highlight eco-friendly wedding ideas and seek sustainable alternatives, emphasizing a leave no trace policy wherever our photoshoot locations take us. Because the change begins with us, we stash bio-degradable trash bags in our camera harnesses so we can collect litter as we shoot.

Last but not least, our modernized photo booth serves events of all kinds with a sustainable, digital-first approach to reduce waste and cut out costly photo paper, from corporate mixers to birthday bashes and wedding celebrations.
